Players Wanted!

We are putting together our first ever 1v1, TAM and VCTF tournaments. The 1v1 tourney is simple...just choose "tournaments" from the navigation area at the main page (make sure you are registered there) and choose "HTM 1v1" and sign up. Or just click HERE (http://h-townmadness.com/phpnuke/modules.php?name=Tournaments&tournament=1)

For the TAM and VCTF tournaments we need lots of players! Sixteen players in all will be required for game play. We will have 4 teams of 4 players. These tourneys will be very short, basically 2 stages 3 maps per stage.

I have team captains selected and there will be a draft from the player pool to create the teams. Our hope is to keep these teams as even as possible for fun gameplay.

If you wish to play please post here so we can fill this player pool fast. Non HTM players are welcome to join as well, as a matter of fact I believe it will be the only way to reach sixteen players.

The module author is looking into why the stupid player join function isn't writing to the database as it should. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.

Sure on the 1v1 for 16 spots.... you can seperate into 2 divisions and have a 6 game regular season followed by a double-elimination playoff tournament followed by a fist fight to the death in the parking lot of wal-mart.

Umm... or you can just do it the way you were gonna do it but twice as big. You know... whatever

This first tourney is going to be a pool draft, mainly our guys trying to do the tourney thing again. These teams are going to form to be as even as possible, but they wouldn't stand up to the very skilled TAM/VCTF teams out there. (I think we learned that when we tried to do the ladder thing..lol)

Ignore the "confirmation code" and just hit submit. If that doesn't work let me know and I'll over ride it and create you a temporary password.

The Hog guys are cool...just tell them to leave the goat alone. I'll need a list of names and email addresses so we can add them to the pool and have a way to contact them. It would be best if they registered here so I can have easy access to thier info. I'll create team channels in TS and give the passwords to the team captains soon

I can change your nick there to match this one. I'll do that now, so don't freak out if you can't login there..lol. The only other thing you need to do is go to "Tournaments" the "HTM 1v1" and hit "signup".

Why don't all teh captains get on ts one night and just hash it out. There is a big list of players i take it, we'll all need a copy.

As you can tell Monkey and minus played thier 1v1 last night. We decided at the last minute to make a rule change from strictly DM-1on1-GardernOfStone to the best of any three maps on the server the two players agree on. I think this is a much better idea and I hope you guys participating do as well.
