this is very annoying so when i go to boot up my pc makes this awful sound it boots fine i just wanna figure out wat the loud noise is it comes from the front of the case i have to boot it a couple times and the sound goes and when it is idle for hours i hear a ringing noise its quite then loud then it makes the almost the same noise again but less awful

Can't say for sure, but it sounds like you have some wires getting hung up in a fan.

EDIT: it could also be a fan with a bad bearing.

EDIT2: it could also be a hard drive about to bite the dust.

Do you have a Seagate HDD mine has started doing that too, and I'm starting to think my Hard Drive is the reason for all the lockups.

hopefully its just a case fan. I had to fiddle with my psu fan for hours once to keep it from grinding on the grate covering it. Goodbye warranty

My power supply is loud.... my CPU fan click's twice when my computer turns on,Power supply fan died.i can hear a hard drive going... Good thing i am building a new system :)
