If you didn't know, I'm a racing freak. I just love fast cars\bikes, vehicles of all types that go VERY fast. The more extreme the form of racing is, the more it holds my interest. The World Rally Championship (WRC) has been my favorite form of racing for nearly 10 years now.
My day has gone from great to quite shitty. I was watching the video I taped last Sunday night of the Rally of Wales GB and on day 3, the program just ended after about 4 minutes. The WRC lost one of it's best Co-Drivers in a tragic accident on stage 15. My thoughts go out to his family, to Markko Martin (the driver) and to the rest of the WRC community whom are all in mourning over this loss of life.
My utmost respect goes to Citroen's French driver, Sebastien Loeb, as he forfeited his chance to nab the Championship title after only 12 (of 16 rounds). He stepped down and refused to complete the rally, this incurred a 2 minute penalty, knocking him back down the leader board. Now THAT'S something not many people would do.
I'm one of the millions out there whom will really miss Michael. If you're interested in reading what happened, click the links below.
