The forums are so quiet, it's almost as if everyone is holding their collective breath as Rita comes ashore. My thoughts are with you all in the path. I have an old high school bud in Austin (Dr Keith Kesler - you must know him Dog - hehe j/k) and I see it's on the warning-list also.

*he turns to go, the shuffle of his feet echoing off the cold marble of the forum walls* *Hello? (hellohellohello...) Anybody here? (hereherehere...)

And just when the nightmare that was: Katrina.. was over.. here we go again.

Good luck to everyone down in that houston area. I know thats quite a few, or at least Minion. I know that for a fact. I hope people got out okay and lets hope you have a place to go home to.. and shit.. what about all those people who EVACUATED NO to go here? I can only imagine their hell..

Best of luck to everyone. This goes without saying of course, but keep us posted

Yeah, it's been a bit quiet nearly everywhere I've gone lately..... Also, from what I've heard, be prepared for at least 3 more hurricanes before their season is over. Man I hope that report I saw was wrong!

How's are you guys down there holding up? Minion, have you lost electricity? I hope not!

Well, Min has generators and he said he stocked up on food etc and would be good for a few weeks if need be, but I can't imagine he has net access. I imagine he would probably be down for the next several days. I bet Lunch or Doggy or the Frog will have word from him shortly if he can't get online. That's my hopes anyway, and I'm stickin' too 'em

I'll be gone until late tomorrow. Driving down to Seattle to play a gig with some old friends as soon as I post this. I'll have my laptop and will grab somebody's unprotected wi-fi and check in if I get the chance - no need to pay for "Hotspots" or anything anymore - I think you can pretty much grab an unfirewalled wireless signal in any populated area these days. hehe

I'm here! Luckily the hurricane took a hard right as it came into the gulf coast..whew! We caught the "clean" side of the storm and took some pretty high winds...but VERY little rainfall. My home here took no damage, heck I never even lost power until 10 am this morning...just after I signed into msn and told YD I was ok. But, power is back...the generators are off *ears still ringing*. I would have posted sooner..but I didn't want any of my pc's on the generator's fluctuating voltage output. Thank you to all of you who kept H-Town on your minds.

Beaumont / Port Arthur Texas took the brunt of this hurricane and suffered a lot of damage. My thought go out to all those affected in those areas. As well as all the people that live along the Trinity River in east Texas as they will be flooding soon due to wind damage to the dam on lake Livingston, as they are releasing MAJOR water out of the lake to relieve the pressure until they can repair the dam.

This year will surely go down in history due to these acts of mother nature both here...New Orleans and the east coast., not to mention the largest evacuation (close to 2 million people) in american history....geez!
