I have copied Sanctuary over to our new colo box, you guys test your pings to it and see how it feels. If it's acceptable compared to the Viper server I'll officially move it and eliminate the expense of the Viper server.

I played it just now and my ping is very comparable to the present server, but iI want your input as well.

HTM|ColoTest: 60 ping empty server, no pl. Feels good, like to see what that would be with a full server.

HTM|Sanctuary][: Same as above.

Although Zen was the only player to post here, quite a few were in the server and all had very positive remarks regarding the ping and feel of this server with the exception on Minus. I'm not sure why Minus had a 10 ms increase over the other server, but I can tweak the tickrate a little to help compensate.

I have given Viper notice that I will terminate the server we rent with him and thanked him for his great customer service. The current "HTM|Sanctuary][" server expires on October 11th, so the new server will revert to "HTM|Sanctuary" as of tonight with a "new IP" message being added to the name of the old server.

Thought is was even odd that my ping stayed at 56 the whole time except during map change,never had it do that before.Always had it jump 5-10 at least during game play.Looks like it's gonna work out really well.:minigun:

Well, thanks to Assraker it's an awesome machine to run the server on with little else happening on the box at the same time. It was very solid indeed, I also tweaked the tickrate a smidge so your pings should drop a couple ms as well. We need to load her up and make sure all stays well with a full load. ;)

I think it means his ping is 10 higher, EDIT: mine seems to be the same (68)
