OK, here's another one I made up a while back. Bear in mind that I'm both a powerboater and a sailor. So I live in no-man's-land; the sailboaters ridicule me for driving a stinkpot and the pure powerboaters just don't 'get it.' But myself, I believe in anything-that-gets-you-on-the-water.

Anyway, one evening at anchor, after almost biting it on an unmarked reef north of a place called Desolation Sound, I came up with this little ditty:

The Waves I respect
And the Wind I revere
But deep in my soul
It's the Rocks that I fear

Alternately, on other evenings at anchor I've been known to change that last line to:

It's the Logs that I fear Mwahahahaha
