Game play is lacking though & buying weapons or ammo while being shot at really doesn't work well for me.

I agree with both of you, I can't be trying to buy weapons in the middle of a game, but if you could just enable certain parts of the mod, say, the blood and gore, and maybe a few select weapons mixed with the classic UT ones (shock, LG etc) it'd be nice.

That BETA of Gunreal has been out since the Make Something Unreal contest. I have a feeling they were in it for that and haven't made any updates since.
