Windows 7 Godmode

Windows 7 has a Godmode feature that some people may not be aware of. The Godmode will enable the “Monster control panel” that includes all functions and is quite large.

To enable Godmode in Windows 7 do the following:

Create a new folder (right-click and click on “New Folder”). Right-click on the folder and click on rename, copy and paste this:

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

This folder will now be a shortcut to the Windows 7 Godmode. The Godmode allows you to quickly access many Windows 7 functions via a GUI.

my netbook has Windows 7 Starter. Do you guys think the godmode will work with starter too?

It's worth a shot, my guess is yes it will.

It worked but I couldn't find much use for it. The only reason why I was interested in the Godmode in Windows 7 starter was because I wanted to change the wallpaper (yes, Windows 7 starter doesn't allow you to change the desktop wallpaper)

Anyhow, Godmode didn't help XD

I did some research for you Crow on your issue. Yes, by design, Windows locks the default wallpaper in the starter edition so you cannot change it. However, I may have found a solution for you. You can download the free software and read the tutorial here. (http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/47294-desktop-background-change-windows-7-starter.html) Seems pretty easy to do and it should work for you. If for some reason the background theme doesn't save after following the tutorial, right click on the program's icon and run as administrator. :cool:

Yea plus you can type any of these commands in the little search box at the bottom of the start menu and it will find the command for you.

Thanks X. I'm sorry it took so long to reply, I missed your post. Unfortunately, I tired that all ready and it didn't work for me. I gave up because the wallpaper isn't that big of a deal. I only use the netbook for my debate rounds.

But I'm very thankful you took the time to search for a solution. I really appreciate it man. you're the best. :D
