Oh no the mic is detachable by design, I just don't have it plugged in. This model is fully functional lol.

Yes I am really using this headset, so if I sound a bit distant on TS, it's because this set doesn't quite fit right. Functional, but not form fitting lol. I'm sorry, im just not willing to shell out another $80+ for a plastic POS that will break within a year, yeah new brand maybe, but these headphones are the shit, it's just the rest of the set that sucks hehehe. Go price out turtle beach 5.1's with analog hookups and you'll see...
