UT2004 Tweaks

You'll need to add and/or edit some of these lines

ENABLE EPIC BRIGHTSKINS

Open UT2004.ini , in the System folder, and make the changes as shown below:

[UnrealGame.DeathMatch]
bColoredDMSkins=True
bAllowPlayerLights=True

[UnrealGame.DMMutator]
bBrightSkins=True

Open User.ini, in the System folder, and make the changes as shown below:

[UnrealGame.UnrealPawn]
bPlayerShadows=False
bBlobShadow=False

FORCE DEFAULT MODEL (because some models are easier to see than others)

Open UT2004.ini, in the System folder, and make the changes as shown below:

[UnrealGame.DeathMatch]
bForceDefaultCharacter=True

Open User.ini, in the System folder, and make the changes as shown below:

[XGame.xPawn]
PlacedCharacterName=Gorge
PlacedFemaleCharacterName=Rylisa

the following characters can be used as default characters: "Tamika, Sapphire, Enigma, Cathode, Rylisa, Ophelia, Zarina, Jakob, Gorge, Malcolm, Xan, Brock, Gaargod, Axon"

You must also be using one of the characters models you are forcing as your own skin

The best trick for "seeing" is to hide your weapons. I know this is hard to get used to.... but I can't tell you how many times I spec a player and see their oppenent in the bottom right-hand corner of their screen, and they don't see him at all.

Use different crosshairs or colors of crosshairs and you'll learn what weapon you have up.... it takes awhile to get used to but worth it in the long-run IMO.

I took this advice from YD a while back..after the learning curve was over it made a HUGE difference. It also forces you to use your crosshair for aiming...and that means more hits. :)
