To paraphrase Shakespear:
Nothing is inherently good or evil...thinking makes it so.

Therefore nothing is perceived as it truly is. Every man's perception is different. Everything is seen through the filters of our experiences. "Love" might mean totally different things to you and me.

But I imagine that love is difficult because every little facet of it seems to matter. To say that Love warrants a commitment of interest is an understatement. In situations where every little detail matters to a certain degree, there is the potential for things to go wrong quite often. Love has the potential to make us feel as rotten as it can make us feel fantastic. If the downside didnt exist, the upside would not be nearly as sweet.

Conversely, things that don't matter to us at all are always easy, because we never care what the outcome is...
(Of course that's just my opinion.)
