yet more issues with arcade (it just hates me)

Man, i hate only posting when it's about myself or to complain.. but this isn't so much a complaint, as a question.

Lately i can't get into arcade because after a random %, it decides to just stop transferring. might be 23%.. might be 90%.. and sometimes it actually does go through, but then the next file to transfer, it dies again.
I managed to play this little ga,me with it all the way til the 11 meg freekboynecris download. where then, i was doomed. it doesn't even make it past 20% without choking on that.
So i'm just wondering if you have any idea why this happens? Tons of other people have no problems, so i know it can't be common. but I'm at a total loss as to why it happens. I cleared my cache, i checked the updates to make sure i have the latest version.. and thats all good. And i really just have no idea. So.. any ideas?

hmmm...strange. Arcade has been having some random crash issues...but this is a first as far as I know. I can recommend one thing...download and install both the freakboys skin pack and all the zound file from our fileserver...that way you won't need those redirected downloads anymore.

yeah i got a friend to sneak in and download the necris stuff for me. and then fought through the rest. it was a long hard battle.. but 20 minutes later! i got in. Don't wanna do that again. You guys ever think you might have a liiiiiiiiitttle too much stuff to download? :wink:

I have had a problem too with redirect. I forgot to install a couple maps from cache so I had to dload them. But they didnt seem to be transferring from redirect. I reinstalled just those maps on the redirect server, and then they worked great. hmmm....

huh, and here i thought it was just me..
other people told me they've had issues with that, and we found out a few people we tried to drag in from rat's, couldn't make it due to my exact same problem. Now Lunch mentions it.. I wonder how many others have had it? If anyone has any guesses as to the cause or something i/we can do on our end (IE not the server's end), let me know.
If it works, i'll do my best to spread the news =D

Lunch and I have been trying to decipher this...it appears there are mirror installs on Arcade's host...these two installs are using 2 different redirect addresses...I'm not sure which install is actually running there..I need to get with Frog. Trying to figure this out without the start/stop page has given me a headache.
