Here's the story I would like to share..I own alot of DVD Movies and I have been recently replacing the awsome eye popping ones with BluRay ones.

I recently was at WallyWorld and saw Resident Evil 2 Apocalypse In a awsome WallyWorld only collectable tin on BluRay for 15 bucks.. I just got part one on BluRay so couldn't pass up some sweet Milla Jovovich hot and sexy with some cold air and headlights action If you know what I mean. So I get home and ready for some action and I've seen all 3 Evil's alot...I mean alot..I like the movie...Well when the scene opens up with her in a little piece of white shirt on her and she's getting up...WHAM/POW she's on the Raccon City street walking... WTH!!!! just happened... The DVD or regulars versions show her get up , walk to the door and down the hallway in some of her glory...I was in disbelief that WallyWorld would cut so much out of a Rated R movie.. I heard this for a long time and still never ran across it...Well that time is now..

So just like any red blooded American would do , I found the receipt and brought it back to WallyWorld and said it skips.. They gave me my refund. So I went back to the MOvies section again and got the regular BluRay version of the movie and bought it for 10 bucks and got 5 dollars back and got a Happy Meal for my little girl...a great deal.

I just put it on and sure enough the parts are there , like there suppose to be..

ALL in ALL .. WallyWorld does cut and edit movies... Your safe if you buy the regular movies , but Stay AWAY from version's that are WallyWorld specials with there name plastered on it.. You could miss out on good ole red blooded action...

Think for yourself
Question authority

Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness; chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself.

OK, can we all just make an agreement? Can we reach a consensus and just all agree to do away with legal-sized paper already?

I don't know how to scan it, i have to feed it one-page at a time into my printer, it doesn't work right with my efax, and I don't really have a decent place to store it.

I mean, seriously... what's the point of legal size anyway? Its not any more "legal" than letter-sized paper, it doesn't save any trees, it doesn't intimidate anyone anymore, and it doesn't wipe my ass for me.

GET OVER IT! You are not cool because you use legal-size. You don't look like an attorney, it doesn't give me more information about your loan application, just GET RID OF IT!!! PLEASE!

I know, let's make legal-size paper illegal! That has the double-bonus of getting rid of the world's most annoying paper-size AND having a sense of irony!

So please, can we all just agree to stop using it?

Thanks.

This is my favorite Psalm.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Sometimes it's hard to maintain my Zen. This has always helped me though.

I was reading the paper again today when I saw something that made my blood boil and felt compelled to vent about it here. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's ignorance. I know the world is teeming with it so I just need to learn to tune it out. But when I read things like this it really gets my Irish up. (and I'm not even Irish)

Apparently a veteran art teacher in a school district outside of Dallas obtained permission, and therefore took her fifth-grade art class to The Museum of Fine Arts. All went well until a child informed one of his parents that he saw a nude sculpture there. Really?...A nude sculpture at the museum?...getthafuckouttahere! The parent complained to the school and the teacher was placed on administrative leave. Then she was told her contract will not be renewed. She has been essentially fired.

Several things piss me off about this: First off, she obtained permission from the school district to make the trip and did so with their blessing. When the shit hit the fan they were also the first ones to abandon her. Secondly, adults know what things are kept at the Museum of Fine Arts, even adults that have never been there. The school district knew for sure. If you're so ultra-repressive towards your children that they can't even attend a museum, don't give them permission to go...keep them at home, locked in their cage. But the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that some people are so thoroughly ignorant, narrow-minded, sexually-repressed and unenlightened that they somehow equate a nude body (even a masterpiece at the museum) to pornography.

I don't know this for a fact, but I'd bet a big pile o' bones that says the parent in question is a right-wing conservative christian. Which seems odd, because you'd think that hard-core bible thumpers would be the first to acknowledge the beauty in something that "God" created. Which brings me to a similar incident that happened in Conroe, Tx. last year.

An Oshman's Superstore opened in Conroe, Tx. a year or so back, the front of the store was modeled to look like the facade of an ancient Greek building complete with replicas of masterpieces of Greek and Roman sculpture. Among the replicas: Michelangelo's David. Arguably, one of the greatest works of art in the history of humankind; a masterpiece among masterpieces. Can you see where this is going?

For the 3 people on the face of the earth that are not aware of this, David is a sculpture of a nude man who's penis is visible...GASP...HIS PENIS!!! Well, this brought all of the religious groups out of the woodworks to protest this "public display of pornography". (That's a quote by the way) The company, which was looking to avoid controversy, announced that the offending statue would be placed on top of the store, more than 50 feet in the air so that the evil member could not be seen by anyone on ground level.

That wasn't good enough.

The leader of the protest countered that the penis "can still be seen easily with the use of binoculars or a telescope". ?!?!?!?!?.......WHAT?! What the hell are they doing with binoculars unless they ARE ACTUALLY TRYING TO SEE IT?! I guess just the fact that they KNEW it was up there just wouldn't allow them to sleep at night. (Despite the fact that most of them actually slept next to, or had a real one attached to them.) Ultimately, the store paid for an artist to come out and sculpt a fig leaf for David to wear. That'll show that smut-peddler Michelangelo! This is the same Michelangelo that painted a nude Adam on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican...Ya know, where THE POPE lives?

This same group also lobbied to have an Italian restaurant closed because of a photograph on the wall which showed the owner standing next to the Venus De Milo. (And you could see her boobies.) They failed.

If people only learned shame regarding their bodies instead of appreciation, that's their problem. Keep it in your own home; trust me, it's nothing to be proud of. Don't push this ridiculous perspective on the rest of us. The only reason children grow up with hang-ups about sex or the human form is because idiot parents teach them that it's "dirty" or "sinful". Take a page from the European's book on sexuality: Don't worry about it and eventually no one will care. Europeans have no problem with sex on TV; they do, however have a problem with excessive violence. We are exactly the opposite. Kids can play video games that depict graphic gun-fights, but can't view a 500 year-old sculpture of a nude body. No wonder most people in the world view American's as booger-eating mouth-breathers.

People travel thousands of miles to view masterpieces of art with their own eyes and not just from a book. Art is one of the finest endeavors of our species; People should aspire to it, or at the very least aspire to appreciate and understand why it it will forever be part of our collective soul. And if you don't like it, fine, at least don't stand in the way of others that do like it and even need it. At this point, I'd be happy if everyone could at least tolerate it.

I think children should be required to go to the museum with their parents, be allowed to ask questions and receive tactful and intelligent responses. Perhaps they will grow up to be enlightened patrons of the arts and champions of beauty!

Below is Michelangelo's David. It took almost 5 years to complete between 1500 and 1504. It was sculpted from a single block of marble with a hammer and chisel; no power tools. It is 17 feet tall. Yeah, they're right. It's repulsive.

"WITCH-CONSIN"

Several people in Wisconsin have accused a 27 year old man of duping them out of their money. The man claimed to be a witch doctor that could perform rituals to help with money, love or health troubles. He bought his ritual material from the Halloween department at Wal-Mart....WAL-MART!!! These people decided they had been scammed AFTER they gave him the money and had him perform the ritual. Actually, I think maybe it did work on some level... I'll bet everyone of these people are a little WISER than they were before the "ritual"... heh, heh.

"IDOMENEO"

A production of Mozart's Idomeneo has been cancelled because a scene in the opera depicts the severed heads of Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed and Poseidon. The scene is a statement condemning organized religion... ALL ORGANIZED RELIGION. The director of the opera house scrapped the show due to the fear of reprisal from muslim extremists. Many are angry over the decision. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said: "self-censorship out of fear is not tolerable." I could not agree more.

The opera house director states that she does not want to endanger anyone's life over something as trivial as an opera. Her heart may be in the right place, even if her head is not. If she thinks something as trivial as an opera will evoke a life-endangering response from terrorists, then how does she think they'll react about something that really "matters". Where does it end? If we are are prepared to take even one step backward, then we should just concede across the board and send a message to all extremists that intimidation works on us, so feel free to continue it.

Here's a quote from the column of Leonard Pitts jr. (I usually hate to quote a columnist, but this is spot-on) "For too long, radical Muslims have behaved like the spoiled children of the planet, throwing temper tantrums .. violence and the threat thereof .. to get their way. Any seasoned parent can tell you that giving in to tantrums only ensures more tantrums."

No shit...

"AND SPEAKING OF "NO SHIT""

I saw an article on-line with the headline: "Woman dies after being shot in the head". Mind you, I'm not saying that is funny. It isn't. I just find that choice of headline comical. Of course she died. She was shot in the head!

"PETA'S CREDIBILITY"

Six Flags is sponsoring a contest in conjunction with the up-coming Halloween festivities where guests are invited to eat a cock-roach or even try and break the world cock-roach eating record. Participants get all sorts of prizes ranging from season passes to line-jumping privileges. PETA is outraged. An official PETA statement said "Insects do not deserve to be eaten alive especially for a gratuitous marketing gimmick". I don't mind people fighting for the rights of vertebrates if that's what they believe, but I draw the line at taking ANYONE seriously when the phrase "Insects rights" leaves their mouth. Billions upon billions of insects are eaten by all sorts of other creatures everyday.

I have a question or two: When PETA members find out that their homes are being destroyed by termites, do they call Orkin? When they see a fire-ant colony in their backyard, do they bust out the Amdro? Better yet, when they find out that the itch in their scalp isn't merely dandruff, but head-lice, do they seek treatment? How about tapeworms & maggots? In my opinion the day you make a statement about the rights of insects, (some species of which live a day or two), you're saying that every other single thing on the face of the planet is absolutely perfect and there are no other pressing issues to be discussed or fixed. I have always respected PETA for what they stood for although I don't agree with 100% of what they say, but when they took issue with this, their credibility just scurried under the nearest baseboard.

A Preview of Hell?
Recently, The Salem Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois offered an alternative to Haunted Houses by hosting an event they call "Nights of Terror".

Passengers arrived at the entrance and were told by a black-robed figure using a bullhorn that "You have died and gone straight to hell!". The idea is to make the event come off as a guided preview of hell. The scenes depict what the church says are the consequences of "bad decisions involving violence, sex and drugs." OK, I get it. It gets a little weird though, when the tourists get to see who is in hell.

Among the tenants of the hell scenes were:

1.) A girl lying on a gurney having an abortion done.

2.) A doctor in scrubs who was pretending to be performing the abortion. (a toilet was nearby to collect the aborted fetuses)

3.) A pedophile trolling the internet for young victims.

4.) Two mincing young men wearing body glitter who were supposed to be homosexuals.

5.) A meditating Buddhist. (WHAT?!... I find this last one highly offensive and I'm not even a Buddhist!)

Allright, the pedophiles can go straight to hell in my opinion but, the rest of their choices I find scary. (and not in the way they intended.)

Considering the self-righteous intolerence behind some of the previous choices, here's a few groups they likely left off the list on purpose but were probably tempted to include:

6.) People of color that refuse to "stay in their place".

7.) Women that dare to work or pursue education.

8.) Unwed mothers.

9.) Any professor that teaches evolution.

10.) Democrats

I'm kidding of course; I was just trying to think like a Baptist. And before you say ANYTHING, I was raised Baptist so I know EXACTLY what I'm talking about here!

And for the sake of "the list", there is one group that I'd seriously like to add to it:

11.) The fanatically intolerant that promote narrow-mindedness and bigotry.

God Bless those Pagans!
Anyone that has ever read any of my blog entries knows that I am not a fan of organized religion. That's not to say I'm not a spiritual person or that I don't believe in some sort of higher consciousness. I do, but that's another story all together. I'm simply not a fan of the man-made constructs, patriarchal dogma and doctrine associated with organized religion. I honestly believe that it has caused 10 times as many problems as it has ever solved. The essence of EVERY major religion is the same: Man must work out his salvation with God. That seems to be the most personal and solitary decision anyone can ever make as a human. Why then, do people feel the need to do it in large groups? I don't understand that part of it. But, I'm getting off the subject...

Actually, the point I was going to make is actually in defense of religion to a certain degree, but I guess old habits die hard, huh?

What I'm finding irksome these days is these people that celebrate Christmas, but become offended and whine loudly when they see a visible connection to Christianity. These are the same people that correct others when anyone says "Merry Christmas" to them. I've actually had it pointed out to me by some idiot that "It's not 'Merry Christmas' anymore, it's 'Happy Holidays'". Since when is Christmas not allowed to have a religious affiliation anymore? Hell, the first 6 letters of the name of the day is CHRIST. Let me put it like this: what if I got all peeved over the fact that Ramadan or Hannukah is too overtly religious in nature? You'd think I was an idiot; that's the whole point. People are attached to the holiday, but not only have to make it PC for themselves, but for everyone else, and they're getting militant about it.

I'm sorry, but it is a religious holiday whether you acknowledge it or not. If you enjoy the season, but choose not to observe it in a religious fashion, that's great, but don't get bent outta shape because others do. I don't celebrate the holiday in a religious manner, but I don't get offended when someone says "Merry Christmas" to me. I'm not offended when I see a nativity scene or by theatre groups putting on Christmas pageants. It doesn't bother me. "God bless you" doesn't offend me either. Know why?... because I know there's no malicious intent behind it. Same goes for any Muslim, Jew or Pagan that offers me any type of blessing. I know they mean it as a gesture of kindness therefore I accept it as such. Be offended by the things in this world that are TRULY OFFENSIVE, not by someone trying to be nice, even if you don't share their belief.

We need a radical response to the greeting "Merry Christmas"... How about "Merry Christmas to you too."

I like the Christmas / Yule season. It's fun, and nobody ruins my fun...

(By the way Christmas, is actually derived from the Pagan Yule winter festival, which was / is a religious holiday.)

SO, GOD BLESS THOSE PAGANS!

"BONG HITS FOR JESUS"

As the olympic torch passed Juneau, Alaska on route to the games in Salt Lake City, a high-school senior unfurled a large banner that read "BONG HITS FOR JESUS!". The principal of the high-school, saw the sign, crossed the street, ripped it up and suspended the student "for violating the school's policy of promoting illegal substances at a school-sanctioned event". This occurred even though the student was not on campus and the event was not school sanctioned.

Was the sign in bad taste?
Probably.

Did anyone want to see it at the event?
Probably not.

Where the student's first amendment rights violated?
According to the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, YES. they were.

The U.S. Supreme Court has taken the case on appeal and will issue a ruling next year.

In addition to First Amendment issue, there is also the matter of the principal being personally liable for monetary damages because "she admitted to being aware of the pertinent case law regarding student rights. The court said the law was clear and Morse was aware of it when she punished the student."

The school district has hired Kenneth Starr to argue their case.
I can't wait to hear what Mr. Starr will use to try and win this case.

"FROGS HAVE NO PLACE IN FASHION"

An upscale accessories store in Manhattan's SoHo district is apparently offering something quite different this holiday season: Frog Dissection Kits. Yep, it's true.

The kits comes with Vacuum-sealed formaldehyde-treated frog, scissors, magnifying glass, forceps, probing sticks, instructions and a moist towelette.

Believe it or not, that is not the weird part. The weird part is that the store has suffered an onslaught of protests and complaints from customers and activists regarding the $40 kit.

The REALLY weird part is that the kits were displayed right next to $775 LEATHER file cases and $145 Italian CALF-SKIN passport covers. But no one had a problem with either of the those 2 items. (Well, as long as it's Italian calfs and not American calfs, I guess it's OK)

The store has pulled the product and issued an apology. I guess people feel that it's OK to use animal parts as a status symbol, but you God-damn better not be learning anything from it. That statement would probably be funny if it weren't true. They don't have to worry; I pretty sure they haven't learned anything.

Message to the store from me: Don't apologize to these hypocritical fucks! On another note, If someone gave me one of these kits, I would dissect it, seems kinda like a cool gift actually.

"THAT ROOK LOOKS A LITTLE 'ROIDED-OUT' TO ME"

The World governing body of Chess will begin testing for performance enhancing drugs, although the game's top official said he had "no idea how drugs could enhance chess performance". He went on to say they're not sure which drugs, if any, they should be looking for.

So many responses to that statement came flooding to me all at once and alas, I was not able to pick one... I consider it a lost opportunity.

"PEOPLE FOR THE ETHICAL TREATMENT OF OTHER PEOPLE DRESSED AS ANIMALS"

A Methodist church in Anchorage, Alaska has come under attack from PETA for their maintenance of a "Live Nativity" outside their church. The church was surprised by PETA's constant harassment. They received shit from PETA admonishing them for subjecting animals to "cruel treatment and danger".

The display was flagged by PETA because the church used the term "living nativity" to describe the scene. There's only one problem: The display did not use any actual animals in it; they've never used animals. The "animals" were portrayed by humans that are dressed as camels and the like. In some cases puppets are used.

PETA responded to this blunder by stating: ""Those animals are subject to all sorts of terrible fates in some cases. Animals have been stolen and slaughtered, they've been raped, they've escaped from the nativity scenes and have been struck by cars and killed. Just really unfathomable things have happened to them."

Raped?!? Anyway, How does that statement explain why PETA targeted and chastised this non-animal using nativity? It doesn't. I've looked all over for articles related to this to see if PETA ever bothered to apologize for listing this church as an "offender" or for undue harassment. Guess what... they didn't, or at least haven't yet.

PETA expects everyone to spew forth with apologies, compensation and the like when they have someone dead-to-rights on the animal abuse issue, but when they make a mistake, they should be big enough to turn around and grab their ankles too. I think the church should sue PETA.

"TAKE FIVE JESUS"

These guys have got to win this year's "NO-BALLS AWARD". The community manger scene in St. Albans, W.Va. was perfect in every detail. Except one. Jesus was left out of it. Every nativity I've ever seen had the wisemen, mary, joseph etc. standing around admiring the child in its hay-filled crib. If Jesus isn't present, then what are they doing? Admiring an empty crib? Playing cards?

The Parks superintendent said it was purposely left out "due to concerns about the separation of church and state". The Mayor quickly tried to cover that by saying that the real reason was the technical issues of lighting up a baby Jesus.

Why didn't they just use the same method to light Jesus as they used for the rest of the manger? Ya know, bulbs? Bulbs work remarkably well for lighting things I've heard.

David Cunningham, parks superintendent in this town of 11,000, initially insisted St. Albans' display was not even technically a manger scene. But the mayor disputed that and said Cunningham was unnecessarily worried about lawsuits. [source - Houston Chronicle 12/06]

It definitely looks like SOMEONE was was worried about lawsuits. You'd think these guys would confer and get their story straight before they issued public statements. So, in short, their attempt to please everyone has, in fact, pleased no one. I love it when things work out that way...

"THIS ONE IS JUST PUZZLING"

In Chicago, the movie studio behind "The Nativity Story" was dropped as a sponsor of a Christmas festival for fear of offending non-Christians.

I don't know where to begin on this one. Have we become a such a society of hothouse flowers that... Aw fuck it...I'm tired.

TIME CRAWLS WHEN YOU'RE HAVING FUN...

This is classic. In an effort to make long waits at the post office seem shorter, the U.S. Postal Service has decided to remove clocks from its branch offices. The Dallas based spokesman for the USPS said: "We wanted people focused on the postal service and not the clock".

I don't know about you, but I think the absence of a clock will only serve to make the wait seem longer. If I don't have any way to prove I was inline for only 18 minutes, I would assume I'd been there twice that long. God forbid they do anything like light a fire under the asses of their employees. That would be ludicrous. And by the way, do they think people don't have watches or cell phones that tell time?

The post office then tries to amend the reasoning behind the decision by saying that it's part of a "retail standardization program" which will give all post office public-service areas a more uniform appearance.

The post offices looked equally uniform when they ALL had clocks as well. That's what "uniform" means; all the same. I wonder how much money (and when I say "money" I mean tax-payer dollars) it cost to realize the mass clock removal.

But, maybe I'm too short-sighted to see the brilliance behind this decision. Maybe it's genius! Ya know what? We should carry this philosophy to other areas of society. How about: No calendars allowed in prison? The inmates will undoubtedly be less disgruntled if they think they've been there shorter than they actually have. Shit man, let's try it...

AND THE WINNER IS....

Guess which town just won the international competition for the tastiest drinking water? Who gives a shit?! If you live there, you already know it, and if you don't, you're never going to drink it anyway. I'd have a hard time believing that people choose vacation spots for the local water.

And, by the way, I have a sneaking suspicion that when they say "tastiest" they really mean "least contaminated".

WE"LL ALWAYS HAVE PARIS. (UNFORTUNATELY)

Recently the Associated Press concluded an experiment where they didn't write about or cover in anyway the lovable endeavors of one Paris Hilton. They did it to see if there would be a backlash from the public and also to bring actual news-worthy events to the forfront. The response to the experiment from the public was overwhelmingly positive. Kudos the the AP!! They showed some balls even if only for a week!

Why this skank is EVER noteworthy for ANYTHING is completely beyond me. She has no talent, or anything that USED to be a prerequisite for one's own celebrity. Can't we kill her already?

HEY!, YOU TWO.... OUTTA THE GENE POOL!! MACHT SCHNELL!!

Get this... A German couple is battling in the courts to have their relationship deemed legal. Because, at the moment, it isn't. What makes it illegal is the fact that they are brother and sister. Now, any 2 people that engage in a mutually consensual relationship is no business of mine. I think it's beyond disgusting, but still none of my business. They claim they are being discriminated against by the German government.

What makes me irate about these 2 morons if the fact that they have 4 children together! The first 2 were taken away because they were born with a deficiency in their mental faculties. Gee, imagine that! (The state of the 3rd and 4th were not mentioned in the stories I read.) They have been told by every accredited expert to stop trying to have children, because there is a greater than 50% chance that the offspring will have some sort of disability. To have children with ADVANCE knowledge that they will be at least slow, if not retarded or physically warped is one of the most reprehensible things I have heard lately. To knowingly inflict a disability on a person or (persons) that will hamper them for the rest of there life sickens me.

If it's true that they are victims of discrimination, it's only so nature wont equally discriminate against any additional offspring. And trust me, mother nature can not be reasoned with. Don't believe me? Take a good hard look at the next 20 people you randomly run across. Need further proof? Try talking with them. We have too many booger-eating, mouth-breathers as it is, even from non-incestuous couplings. The last thing we need to do is go out of our way to make more.

"FREEZE! OR I'LL SAY 'FREEZE' AGAIN!!"

Police in the violent border city of Tijuana, Mexico have had the guns confiscated by Federal troops. The guns have been replaced with, get this: sling-shots! Police are actually expected to battle the drug cartels that run Tijuana with fuckin' slingshots! I'd never be a cop in Tijuana in the first place, but the day I would have to trade my piece for a slingshot is the day I sign-up for the drug cartel. I hear they're taking away their tazers and issuing joy-buzzers as well. And while we're at it, just pass out groucho glasses and seltzer bottles.

WOW...

For the 58th straight year, an unidentified person has left a bottle of Cognac and three red roses at the grave site of Edgar Allen Poe on the anniversary of the writer's birthday. Sometimes a cryptic note is left as well. Sometimes not. The man is known as the "Poe Toaster" and is allowed to make the toast every year despite throngs of gatherers at the cemetery. The onlookers are not allowed in. I don't really have a comment on this, I just think it's cool.

YOU MY CRACKA!!

In Brazoria, Texas it may soon be illegal to use the "n-word". It is being proposed that violators be fined $500. I agree that it is highly ignorant and unenlightened to be using that word, but to outlaw it is a violation of free speech. If this passes, it will soon become equally illegal to use the word "spic", "gook" or even "cracker". Does that mean I like being referred to as a "cracker"? Of course not, but I will defend anyone else's right to use it even if I am the target of said usage, because once you place a restriction on free speech, it is no longer free speech. period. (Shouting "FIRE!" in a crowded movie-house notwithstanding)

Once you start making laws like this, you open up the flood-gates for any law that tries to legislate language or thought. And people trying to legislate language or thought is a very frightening idea. And laws like this often spawn other laws of a similar nature. If a man is overheard to remark "damn christians", can he then be sued for religious descrimination? Before you know it, it may be a punishable crime to offend anyone, even if that was not your intent or even if you were completely unaware of it. And if we're really fortunate, we'll be able to one day sue people for looking at us funny. But, read on...

It WILL, however, be acceptable, according to the drafted legislation, for people to use it as a "friendly greeting to one another". WHAT?!? So what this clause essentially does is make it ok for blacks to use it, but not any other ethnic group. It would be next to impossible for a non-black user of the word to prove he lacked malicious intent and vice-versa for blacks. Now what you have is a law that legislates behavior based on what COLOR you are. Didn't we spend years and years trying to do away with laws like this?

To paraphrase Carlin: There are no such things as bad words. They're JUST WORDS. What you REALLY need to be concerned with is the racist asshole that is using them.

If someone would just give me a newspaper and my own radio airtime to rant about what's in that paper, I would be soooo happy! (Although happiness would probably alter my slant on most things and make them less entertaining.) Catch-22 heh...

I am getting so fucking sick and tired of religious groups whine about how they are being persecuted. All I hear about is how their values are "under attack" and how their religious freedoms are being stripped away. This is the biggest load of horse-shit I have heard in a long time.

First of all, their religious freedoms are not being stripped away. They are guaranteed by the constitution. I don't care if anyone is religious. I believe in a higher power myself, but would be hard-pressed to describe it as anything found in any of the Abrahamic religions, (That's Judaism, Christianity and Islam by the way) but that's a whole other topic.

What is being stripped away, however (and rightfully so) is their ability to force their agendas on others. What's happening is that their ability to have their belief structure surplanted across the face of American culture is being restricted. Where do these fucktards get off trying to tell me how to live anyway? If I'm I'm not mistaken, (and I'm not) even the Bible says judging others is bad ju-ju. It is an absolute of Christianity that judgment is solely the realm of the Creator. Hence, It would seem to me that speaking for God would be an incredibly DANGEROUS pastime. I focus on Christianity, because those are the religious groups that are throwing a tantrum in THIS country.

Let me give some examples:

Several depictions of the Ten Commandments have been removed from court-houses across the country. The reason behind this is that if someone is being tried in a courthouse and sees a giant effigy of Moses holding his tablets right next to the judge, he or she may presume that the laws of this country are beholden to biblical doctrine. They are not. period. In the modern world, we derive our laws from a consensus of people, that collectively determine that something is wrong or right, not have it dictated to us by people that believe in an invisible man in the sky.

Some judges have even over-stepped their own authority to finagle a way to get these monuments back on public property and were promptly reprimanded. Do you want judges in power that knowingly side-step the boundaries of office to placate a personal belief? I sure as fuck don't, and you shouldn't either. People in these positions of such power and trust should always at appear to be very, um, well.... judicious. heh.

There are incidents of Pharmacists refusing to fill peoples prescriptions because they have a moral objection to what is may be used for. Some pharmacists across the country are refusing to fill "Plan B' prescriptions because of their religious objections. Plan B is not an abortion pill. It is a contraceptive pill that can be taken the day after unprotected sex. It drastically reduces the chance of pregnancy by releasing a concentrated dose of the same chemical that is used in birth control pills. Even if it was an abortion pill, where does the fucking pharmacist get off trying to become my spiritual advisor? Last time I checked abortion is LEGAL in this country. And actually, you don't even have to have a prescription to get the Plan B pill. It's an over-the-counter drug, but you do have to get it from the pharmacist area, as girls 17 and under must have a prescription.

Christian groups that are encouraging pharmacists to not sell the drug say the Plan B pill promotes promiscuity. Well, if that's true then condoms and birth control pills do also. Shit, the Plan B pill IS A BIRTH CONTROL PILL! You just take it after instead of before. And since when is ANYONE'S promiscuity the business of anyone else that works at the neighborhood drug store?

Fire these holier-than-thou, pin-headed pricks for not doing their job!! If I was a cashier at a grocery store and I refused to sell someone alcohol because I personally didn't believe that was right, they'd fire my ass in a heart beat. What are they waiting for ? Fire em! And do it now! If someone's religious beliefs prevent them from performing the duties they were hired for, they CAN be fired legally.

Muslim cabbies in New York are also refusing to pick up people at the airport that have liquor with them. Not open bottles; just things they picked up on vacation. It was also observed, however that they did not have a problem taking people to strip-clubs or picking up people that were actually drunk. Again, do your job: If I felt as you did, I would do as you do. I don't... so what does that tell you?

Recently, a gentleman from Minnesota was elected to Congress. His name is Ken Ellison. He is a muslim. OHMYGAWDNO! ISN'T THIS WHAT WE'VE BEEN FIGHTING AGAINST??!! OUR BOYS ARE DYING IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND WE LET THIS HAPPEN!!?? That was actually meant to be a gag, but it's not actually, because I know I'd be horrified to learn the actual number of American's that really think like that.

Anyway, to make matters "worse" Mr. Ellison chose to be sworn into office while having his hand placed on the Quran, the holy book of his religion. Wouldn't you want someone that is swearing an oath to serve, do so on a book they feel morally bound to oblige? Or does that make too much sense?

Anyway, a good ole' boy, aptly named Virgil Goode, R-Virginia has got his panties in a wad over the Quran usage. Goode wrote "The Muslim representative from Minnesota was elected by the voters of that district and if American citizens don't wake up and adopt the Virgil Goode position on immigration there will likely be many more Muslims elected to office and demanding the use of the Quran,"" In other words, he just has a problem with Muslims being elected period. If he didn't, then why would he care what book they used?

He also said he wants to do away with "diversity visas," which he said allowed people into America "not from European countries" and "some terrorist states." In other words, If you're not white, Virgil Goode doesn't want you here. What the hell else could "not from European countries" mean?

Then he defends his position by stating: "One lady told me she thinks I'm doing the right thing on this," he told Fox News. "I wish more people would take a stand and stand up for the principles on which this country was founded." One lady? A whole lady? wow. I bet it was his mom. Seriously.

And the topper... Virgil then stated as his reason for his resistance to the Quran being used as: "I believe in a separation of church and state." What does this idiot think the Bible is?! Ya know, the book upon which HE used to be sworn in. I just love it when someone finds themselves sooo backed in to a corner of their own making that the only statemants left for them to make are those that completely refute their own argument. (not to mention drive the point of his idiocy right on home and park it in the garage.)

Mr Goode was not the only one to be upset by this. Dennis Prager a talk show host also voiced his condemnation. Not that we should validate anything a talk show host says, but the reason I mentioned him as well is because Mr. Prager is on the board of the U.S. Holocaust memorial museum. unfuckinbelievable. Guys like Goode seem to be perplexed by how a muslim could get elected in the U.S. in 2007; I'm equally perplexed by how a bigot could get elected in the U.S. in 2007.

One of America's earliest mottos is this: E Pluribus Unum. It means, "Out of Many, One" It means that America's strength lies in its diversity. It's what makes us the greatest country on the planet, although, I feel we've shot ourselves in the foot a few times lately. Oh, and by the way, Ellison did use a Quran at his ceremony. The Quran he used belonged to Thomas Jefferson.

Religious groups have had it too good in this country for too long, in terms of having things they way they want. They are not the majority. They've also historically, had the ultimate trump card. How can anyone argue with, "Hey, it's not what I think, It's what God wants you to do!"? Well, Religious rights are not being stripped away; rational people have just decided that part of "religious freedom" means not being allowed to throw it up on others. This country has no official religion, contrary to what some people think. If you wanna pray, that's fine... Let me give you something to pray for: TOLERANCE.

I went to eat Chinese food at a place in Houston that is normally pretty good. It seems they had a new item on the menu... Stuffed Crab. Awesome. I love stuffed crab, so I ordered it. It turns out that Chinese stuffed crab (at least at this restaurant) is nothing more than ground beef served in a crab shell. GROUND BEEF! Apparently they were unclear about what people are expecting when they order stuffed crab.

I asked why the stuffed crab contained no actual crab. I received a puzzled look that seemed to say: "You got exactly what you ordered." I when on to explain that what I ordered was stuffed crab; what I received was some ground beef served in crab shells and that there is a difference between the two. They still didn't understand. The waiter continued to point at my plate while bobbing his head saying "stuffed crab."

I went on to explain that by his logic, they could have served me crab shells stuffed with jelly beans, whipped cream or dog shit and that would still technically be stuffed crab. They did take it back and bring me something else, but I find it curious that my waiters English seemed to improve considerably when he was dealing with patrons that were not complaining.

So, I thought that before I went I would point out that the "fortune cookies" did not actually contain fortunes. What I received in my cookie was a platitude: "The silent man easily maintains his dignity." A fortune is a prediction of something that has yet to happen, like "You will meet a tall dark stranger". That's the kind of thing I'm looking for in a cookie, not advise or cliches. But I didn't actually mention it since I thought that that would be going out of my way to be an asshole.

I had a fun little experience the other night in the 1v1 server. I was playing with random internet ppl, and as u may know most 1v1 players are very good. Pro level or some such nonsense. Anyway we got into a debate about garden of stone.

I voted the map cuz its fun and different, and also its not Rankin, Roughinery or Ironic. All overplayed and static.

Of course, I was immediately called a retarded noob who knows nothing. This is incorrect i told him, im not a retard nor a noob. I went on to say that what is really noob is the overuse of the word "noob" and that calling things by that name is, in fact, noob.

I surmise that the real problem is the inability or unwillingness of certain players to adapt to new environments, such as a map u dont know. I think the real reason why the 1v1 crowd only play 3 maps is that they are dependent on map control to win. This also explains why they say TAM is noob. Without their precious map control and the HUGE advantage it brings, they aren't so tough after all. Still very good players who kick my ass like a rag doll, but not as tough w/o map control.

The discussion went on to detail why this map was a noob map, and why it is unbalanced and why this is bad etc etc. What the FUCK ever. God forbid we play something different and have to adapt quickly. God forbid you might have to you know, actually play the game instead of camp and spam and hide and control everything and win because you spawn killed a defenseless opponent over and over lol. Winning with total control over a map is like bragging about stepping on ants. Wow you won with a huge advantage wow. Anybody can win when they have an advantage, you still have to earn the advantage but it's very simple to do. 55 for bigs 27.5 for smalls, get there first and set traps for your opponent, wow so tough.

So this went on for like an hour, back and forth blah blah. You can't change the hearts of men or internet punks for that matter so i gave up.

Well as it turns out I beat this kid twice on garden, because i know it better and had an advantage yes, but so what? He is way better than me, garden is an easy map and my aim was inconsistent as usual. WTF?

And so...

Of course his response was "oh your so noob u actually thought i was trying" "why bother trying on this POS map" etc etc. Well thats great u didn't try, cuz I still won punk. Thanks. I guess he didn't like when i shot him off the side of the map(which does suck) lol. Hey I told him the key was to shield ALL the lifts when u go up. He was too busy calling me names tho.

Funny thing was, I was not trying either. I barely controlled the 100a and just played my game and won.

His statements prove my theory of pro attitude. Just because your good at one thing does not make you invincible nor does it allow you to act like an ass when you are confronted with something different. Taken out of their practiced routines and maps they are just common players with bad attitudes toward anything they perceive as "noob".

Nice to see the tables turned and a pro player whining like a bitch. We then voted Rankin and I lost by 20 then he rage quit in a huff.

That is all.:spider:
